Aliya Mustafina is a Russian gymnast who was born in Egorievsk.
She began actively participating in sports at the age of six when her father, Fargat Mustafin, introduced her to a sports section. It quickly became evident that Aliya had great talent, and her extensive training only strengthened it.
She consistently won at children's and junior competitions.
In 2007, Aliya gained recognition for her silver medal wins in the all-around, uneven bars, balance beam, vault, and floor exercise at the International Junior Competitions.
Sports analysts predicted that both Aliya and Rebecca Bross would become the future of modern gymnastics.
